On peut dater les premiers fansubs (digitaux) US de 1999-2000. (Je me base sur la première release HQA d'août 2000, pour la date, cela donne une bonne idée de la fourchette.) Si on compte qu'il s'est écoulé plusieurs années entre ces fansubs, leur essor et les histoires de fin 2004 à nos jours, on peut dire qu'il y a existé une tolérance.

My Japanese is good enough to pick up the mistakes while watching anime with Subs. But it isn't good enough to watch without Subs.. Makes me regret not
25/01/2008 · I agree that fansubs can be better and more interesting than the official subs in some aspects, but for the most part there is simply no motivation for fansubbers to continue their work when what they've been trying to do is already accomplished.
